OTTAWA – The Canadian Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (CACOLE) will hold its annual conference on June 8-10, 2009 in Ottawa, Ontario. The Military Police Complaints Commission (MPCC) is hosting the 2009 CACOLE on the occasion of its MPCC’s 10th Anniversary.
The conference theme is: “Civilian oversight of law enforcement. Where is it going? Where should it be going?

The conference will attract Canadian and international experts to debate a range of topics including the use of force by police, interactions between police and citizens with mental health issues, and profiling new Canadian oversight agencies.
